Your gate is too unstable, and collapses

Seeing this far too frequently lately

fix it!

Tecmos Deception 09-03-2013 04:19 PM

I swear that happens more often the more aggrod mobs are nearby, lol.

But on that note I actually haven't had a gate collapse on Tecmos in so long I can't remember.

Can WC caps collapse? That would be an awesome way to die. Lol.

Ports can't collapse, only gate... that said, the 1k vendor gate pots can collapse, haha

probably just an RNG issue tho.

Freakish 09-04-2013 12:23 AM

I don't remember the last time I had a gate collapse and I gate more times than a ranger.

First ever gate potion am bought, had genious master plan on what to do with it too, and that happened.
Felt like ripping out throats of fluffy kittens.

This thread is gayt.

But yeah rng struck me. 20 more in a row and no collapse so meh.

I didn't have a single gate collapse on my druid until I hit lvl 60. Since then it's happened atleast once every 2-3 days (hit 60 like a month or so after kunark released on p99)

Needs to be looked into. Hardly ever happened on live yet seems fairly often here. I am guessing it is set around 15% when it should be closer to 0 :p

Parsing all the logs on my laptop install, came up with 5 instances of unstable gate out of 653 gate casts.

5/653 = 0.0076569678407350689127105666156202 or less than 1%

This is probably a case of confirmation bias.

If you are seeing 15%, you're really unlucky.

If you have 200+ alteration, it's 2%.
