UI Error when logging in

When I log, I get an error that says "Error in your GUI XML files. Check UIErrors.txt." In that file this is what is said:

I did exactly what the guide told me to do. Anyone know what to do in order to fix this?

Never mind, thanks to Windows 7 I can restore to previous states saved :D just did that.

Windows 7 was my idea.

What exactly was the fix here? I'm getting the same thing, Win 7, followed the instructions exactly, made sure every file was moved/extracted to the correct locations.

Follow the link in my signature, and use that to install Project 1999 instead of manually dragging files etc.. couple clicks and you are good to go.. no headaches.

Also lets you install a ton of other hotfixes and customize your UI etc.

Using Secrets of Faydwer, I looked at your installer tool but it says Titanium only (unless I'm missing something).

Ah, yeah SoF is being phased out and not supported anymore. You can try my installer on it. It might work, I dont have SoF so was unable to test it on that. If you do try it, make sure to post in the thread to let others know if it does or does not work :)

Sigh. Cheapest copy of Titanium I can find is $45. Ok, thanks, I will give it a try ;-)

I saw some on amazon for under 5$

vossiewulf 03-09-2011 09:33 PM

Not anymore. Prices on Amazon range from $45-$180. An easier solution needs to be found for the Titanium requirement or there aren't going to be many more people joining.

Tried your installer, same error :(

However, the OP said he/she had the same problem and solved it somehow. Anyone have any ideas?
