Haven't played in forever, where's the spell file?

I can still log in from the icon that was on my desktop from years ago, but I get "update your spell file" at the char select screen - been years since I've played.

Seems I used to be able to find the spell file easily on this site and now I can't.

I can't run the Launcher, it says my .NET framework sucks. I don't even know WTF that is.

Theres file download link for eqchanges in the tech support forums, i'm pretty sure the one in the mac client thread might even be legit. Try searching for eqchanges in the tech support sub forum.

Can't find it. Anyone got a link?

I was able to DL and load the .NET thing so now I can run the emulator but it wants a Folder Path and an EXE path... WTF am I supposed to put in there?

I think I got the Folder path, cant seem to get the EXE path.

I dunno, this doesn't seem any simpler than just putting the spell file in your folder like you used to.

E:\P99lite

E:\P99lite\eqgame.exe

Mine looks like that (p99lite) is a custom install location if that helps.

Got it. Also remember now why I stopped playing 2 yrs ago... Randomly freezing/crashing...

In the tech support forum there is a FAQ, it not only has a link to where the spell files can be found, but also has a large number of fixes for all kinds of different issues. I'd recommend visiting the FAQ and trying the different fixes suggested there before you give up.

It doesn't take long to go through my FAQ, and it will likely fix your problem. If it doesn't feel free to make a thread in the tech board and we will most likely find a fix for your issue.

You can find the link to the FAQ in my sig.
