so i turned in the master druids head & it didn't do anything, is there anyway to get this fix? i also lost the head in the process

Finished this quest 2-3 days ago without issue. Be sure you follow the directions on the wiki, there are a few different NPCs you hand into, and it swaps back and forth a few times.

Are you talking about Master Whoopal's in Nek? Loot his head and hand it to Draxiz N'Ryt (not Ithvol K`Jasn) in Neriak Commons and you get "Skinned Halfling Face Mask"

can petition in petition section to see if you can get your items back. did you MQ this? if so, you're SOL. If not, you can probably get your item(s) back.

Dont bother with a petition that step (looting the head and handing it in) takes < 5 min.
