Do Banker NPCs on P99 auto-equip armor given to them by players?

On the Veeshan server on Live, the trading zone was North Freeport and the players often gave the bankers steel plate helmets, breastplates, etc that would be visually equipped by the banker NPC. Can anyone confirm this is the case on P99?

I couldn't find anything on this in the patch notes other than a random report about non-pet NPCs now returning items they don't care about.

** NPCs and Items **

- Non-pet NPCs will start to return items they don't care about. This
will occur over time as zones are updated.

I don't think you can trade with bankers. They removed that functionality when people were trading their plat to the banker instead of opening banking window.

This is something that could eventually be corrected, but not high priority.

Just tried to hand banker 1cp. "This NPC cannot accept items directly, right click if you wish to make transactions"

I know in classic u could though.

Thank you for testing.

Does anyone else recall bankers in trade zones with random pieces of armor equipped from players accidentally (or intentionally) handing them it?

Bankers wearing plate helmets, etc was a constant occurrance on Veeshan before Luclin. The same way you could hand your skeleton pet a weapon and he would equip it, a banker would do with armor.

Not just bankers.. in classic up until at least PoP you could give any npc loot and it would use it(if applicable). My enchanter friend and I(druid) would twink out and buff up lowbie mobs, like mummies in oasis, and then invis and watch the fun. We gave them a few thousand plat worth of loot though so it's not like we were total dicks.

Ah.. the good ol' days.

Skeletons rocking staff of writhing in Gfay was always a good time.

Being able to give non-pet NPCs items was one of the many things that made classic EQ great.

It understand why it isn't high priority but if this was implemented it would stroke my nostalgia.
