im quitting too!

Hey, it was a fun few weeks again. Here's my issue:
EQ pvp is terrible, the worst mechanics, no balance, promotes griefing. Doesn't matter if you agree with me or not, that's how I feel. I played sullon zek for 6 years and I had fun even thinking pvp sucked for the reason that I could be hunted and killed at any turn. It added a lot of fun!
Here there is no one to group with, no lower level pvp, and the exp is slow. Why play?

on the flip side I reactivated my eve account so if anyone still plays look me up

at least some twink gear or plat. any classes. i'll worry about transferring it to my main, which i still haven't decided on. just started yesterday.

Doesn't the challenge and prospect of gearing and leveling your own character appeal to you? F2P games with cash shops are taking off for a reason. Terrible.

XP is faster than classic sure. There is a bonus and that's nice. The problem with the exp is the players. There are no players and it forces almost everyone pre 50 to solo which can be painfully boring and slow. Do I really want to grind 100s of hours of boredom to get to lvl 50? if I had something other than empty zones I might be interested but there's no one. Which isn't really your fault I guess but that's just how the cookie crumbled

jcmtg 08-08-2013 02:02 PM

of course it appeals to me.

I don't want full banded/100pp. I want a fine steel rapier which will save me ~4 hours of grinding.

i want to shave hours off the grind, begging is just a ways to do it.

If your looking at the boost from the safety of blue and just considering the rate of increase, than yea it seems like a lot. But living in the world of red being a chewtoy for monster twinks with no friends and no pop and suddenly the increase becomes horribly inadequate.

well eve isn't pay to win. Gearing seems enjoyable. I did it on blue already and did the raid thing. What really can you accomplish if you don't join Nihilum on red though?
