What is with all this crap? am I the only person that would rather play the game than just sit and watch other people play...

Pretty sure I was playing EQ while listening to Sirken and some 17 year old girl do a Q&A, not watching other people play.

Are you just too old to play and listen to something/watch while doing so?

I can't imagine anything being more boring for a live feed than Everquest.
