I heard it was kinda buggy, and you were better off just playing the old one with mods/unofficial bug patches.

it's really bad

it does not improve the original game at all (except upgrade to bg2 UI)

what it brings (takes away) to the game:

added bugs (including game-ending bugs)
non-creative extra (3) characters
uninspired romance quest
movies replaced by comic book-esque animation (imo - "better quality" but radically does not fit the mood of the game)

They apparently are full speed ahead on bg2ee... which makes me sad. They can do far worse with bg2 than bg1.

Interesting how Atari is upset about it being pulled on the IOS platform, but other places are okay. http://www.joystiq.com/2013/06/25/at...os-oster-says/

Not much interest in playing it again myself. But BG and Icewind Dale were favorites for me back in the day though.

good thing bg2 runs on almost every computer out there and has tons of mod work put into it to make it perfect.
