Venril Sathir Faction

I attempted the Protect the Shipyard quest today with a friend

http://wiki.project1999.org/index.ph...t_the_Shipyard

I am an Iksar Monk that has Apprehensive faction towards VS.

I was under the impression that the faction tables would reflect that ingame.

I am at about 400 Whips now and still haven't hit Indifferent status yet, though I guess will keep going until its reached.

TLDR; - Does Protect the Shipyard give +1 VS Faction, and is Apprehensive/Indifferent both +100 faction to advance? - TY

How you get your Overthere Hammer the easy way in 1 day of work no matter what race you are:

#1: Buy (from players) or have a Shaman make you an Essence of Darkelf potion (Illusion: Darkelf).

#2: Slay tons of Sarnak Berzerkers and bank the whips. (Use PoK book to bank them in PoK bank everytime you fill your backpacks).

#3: When you have gathered 32 STACKS of whips (thats 128 total whips) you can get near the outpost in OT and drink your potion to become a darkelf and have "Apprehensive" base faction as that race.

{Note: A stack of whips always means 4 whips at a time.}

#4: Then go into the outpost bank and get out your whips to turn in to Captain Rottgrime (hail him to stop him so he doesn't pace back and fourth between his Marines and cancel the trade).

Closing: While my Iksar Shadowknight mule was in Darkelf form I went from Apprehensive to Indifferent after 10 STACKS of whips. After 12 MORE STACKS of whips I went to Amiable. Then I bought one jade from one of the Gnome vendors in the Outpost and ran it to the Skeletal Foreman and turned it in for my Overthere Hammer.

{Note: When I ran out of the Outpost and targeted a Cliff Golem and canceled my Darkelf Illusion, I was "Scowled" at instead of "Amiable" in my natural Iksar form. Iksar have VERY bad faction with most NPCs in Everquest and I may need to turn in many hundreds more to be loved in my natural Iksar form.}

Too bad i'm not that insane to go through with the last part.

I hope this method helps you get your Overthere Hammer in one day. (It took me ALL DAY to do this.... literally.)

from what I remember, 400 whips should have bumped you up a little, i quested faction on my iksar monk, but it was a while ago, and there have been faction changes

stupid question, have you killed anything in between turn ins that might have hurt your faction? kaesora, charasis, kc, etc?

I've been pretty good about not killing any VS faction - my monks lv 51 and all of his exp has come from getting druid PL. No kaesora, no hole key, no KC

e/ - i also am using a dark elf mask

For me it was like 12 turn ins from apprehensive to indiff then 18 more to amiable.

I did this on blue as a dark elf that started at appreh, took me I think 110 whips, it was between 100 and 110, to get amiable

The faction and the quest is correct and WAD.

You are not amiable in dark elf form after all those turn ins? If so then you (or a friend playing you) absolutely wrecked your VS faction somewhere or somehow in the past.

More whips or puppet strings I'm afraid.

Is there anyway to check if drolvargs were killed?

also, how many will it take to turn in if they were?
