Does anyone kill the Ancient Wyverns ever?

One dropped outside VP tonight in Skyfire... we had no paladins in the raid to claim it, if only I'd seen this (and seen your in-game name) :P

According to EscapeGoat, one dropped in VP tonight. He linked it to me in North Freeport about 20 minutes ago.

Its a rare drop in skyfire, may be more common than you would think though..its just a situation where not many folks grind in skyfire.

As Swish said, Azure Guard has seen at least two of these drop.

Was this just a random voyage into the realm of slaying Ancient Wyverns or is this something that goes down with any kind of regularity?

Id really like to snag one of these if the latter is true.

Like noted above, the halcyon broadsword is sort of a casualty of P1999's fairly low population. Skyfire isn't a very good experience zone, and since there's not enough population here to fill and overflow the better zones, almost nobody fights in Skyfire.

On the plus side you don't need this sword anyway. Due to the popularity of the crypt camp in sebilis coupled with the lack of Paladins on the server, the Sword of the Morning (often a 10-16K weapon on Live) can often be purchased for 500-1000 PP on P1999.

It does exist. One of my friends got it on his twinks because nobody in the group had a pally twink.
