Modding the spellbar

I've seen a few spellbar mods that turn the spellgem icons to squares. However I have not been able to figure out how to do this myself with a mod compatible with p99. The goal for this is to be able to use custom spell icons (both buffs and spellgems) at the moment, when I use a different spell UI graphics the buffs come out fine but the spellgems get all messed up.

I'm not looking for anything fancy, just something that will allow for square spellgems. Any advice tech?

Nobody?

Not sure I understand what you're asking exactly. Vert's UI has square spell boxes I believe:

Or are you asking for the icons that don't have the rounded edges, like those found here:

Check the spellbar on the left, that's what I'm talking about.

So I got the Vert UI spellbar, and it's square great! Thought it would fix the problem but it does not. I'm trying to use the Etasi spell icons set. The buffs and spells in the spellbook itself look fine, however check out what happens to my spellbar icons on the left.

Click on the second link and follow the instructions for the Etasi. Make sure you download the >>>square<<<.

AH! I think I found the problem, I am using the Velious spell gems, need to modify that back to default.

Yep that was the problem, reinstalled the default UI, loaded the Etasi spell mod, and everything working now!
