Just a little background... I'm an old player from Solusek Ro, played from April 1999 to November 2004 (sigh warcraft). I was a human shadow knight, got the 4th SK epic in 2000 on the server but only because Farnham (a superior human SK MQ'ed for me). A year or so later I became a human monk, Kurukami.

Anyway, some homies directed me back here because of p99 and what it is. Man I love it! And I am a human monk again hehe. I started late February 2013.

So here it is, the end of May 2013, and I am just a humble, insignificant monk again, just trying to level (slowly because I wander a lot haha)... Anyway I discovered a couple of OLD friends from wayyyy back in the day. Kingore and Bleach. Both are in different guilds, but I certainly do recall that both were always willing to go above and beyond back in the day, as all guildies did back then.

Well, this evening I was running through ol South Karana... Really I was on my way from Temple of Cazic Thule (WHY DOESN'T ANYONE KILL HERE ANYMORE?!?!?!?!) to Qeynos to make more silly javelins. When all of the sudden I am alerted to the presence of Brother Qwinn. The Monk NPC for that first Monk uber Robe from back in the day. So just for sh*ts and giggles, I send a tell to Kingore saying, "Hail Brother Qwinn! hehe" he then tells me he can gather some troops and we can kill him. I just laugh it off, because WHO am I? Some newbie monk who know one really knows, so why on Norrath would anyone care about me? So I just kinda play along, not expecting anything... "Err ok! Let me pull him to the NK zone and wait! haha" but his next couple responses tell me that he's actually being serious!

So my heart starts to race a little bit... and I am shaking a little bit... Uhhhh, what do I do?! Kingore = The Mystical Order = TOP guild on the server (in my eyes, from what I've seen on these exact boards)! Then all of the sudden my friend Bleach of Divinity sends me a tell saying "OMW!" I replied with a "Huh? for what?" and he said that he was coming to help with Qwinn!

My MIND was BLOWN!! I really do consider myself pretty insignificant, and I really do look up to my friends, Kingore and Bleach, but here THEY are, gathering people to help ME! Man, I cannot explain how good that makes me feel! But it really does show me what I have actually been discovering quite a bit lately... People on our server really do care. People help each other, not expecting anything in return, and it really makes our server feel like an actual Community. Sure there are arguments and some ugly things that happen. And that's sad :( But, the majority of the time, from the majority of our player base, we're all a close knit community because WE are all old school. WE all came from OLD EQ. WE all bothered to try to figure out how to play this emulated server haha! Which I will say the destructions (directions) are excellent.

Anyway... Within 15 minutes, I have TWO GROUPS of people I have never met before, ALL from TMO (except Bleach), showing up and ready to kill Brother Qwinn in South Karana! My mouth literally dropped open because these high level peeps took the time to actually come ALL the way to South Karana to help some little lvl 36 monk :P.

Well, we engaged Brother Qwinn. We had ONE death, and that was Kingore, I think because he's an Iksar and not a Human Monk (hehehahahoho), but Brother Qwinn died after about 3 mins and I was awarded with a nice yummy Robe of the Lost Circle!!! Saving me HOURS of camping time!

But yeah seriously, grats! Lots of good people on the server, and it's a great place and time to be leveling up from scratch imo. It's just the few negative nancies on the forums who can't stop whining about every little thing, meanwhile cool stuff like this goes down in the game every night.

He looks better as a skeleton anyway. But grats on your robe. There are plenty of cool people all over this server and in many guilds. Its the few that seem to be loud and play forumquest way more then they need to that ruins the immersion for some.

Good thing you aren't a bard or ranger. Else you'd have to pay them 500k to get your epic.

Hmm... Well that's not me :P I did notice that the name Calidore is in use on p99 blue, which makes me sad. But I guess if you think that was me, then as Doctor Octagon once said, "You can call 1-800-Peepee-5-1-Doodoo." That's really all I can say about that *drool*
