NPC Spawn Issue:

Jade, the gem vendor is missing from North Freeport. Has been for a couple of days now. FYI.

thanks.

She's exactly 17 feet away, directly out the door and at the top of that zone ramp. She just isn't pathing back. AKA drag her and blur/fd her, or kill her and she'll respawn.

I'm trying to replicate what is causing NPC's to stay away from home.

This is excluding NPC's who gate as well as NPC's being directly above their spawn point such as Lord Burgurgle. (We know about and can replicate these).

I've tried charm and a few other tactics, but NPC's path back normally for me. Is anyone able to describe what happens before an NPC fails to path home?

Snare an NPC then leave the zone (or log out, some log out faster then others using their "mothers/girlfriends/etc" IP exemption). The NPC will then stay where it last was before you zoned/logged.

Might be what happened.

The rogue GMs in highpass would bug (every time? very frequently at the very least) when we were dictating them to kill Stanos. Treats kept having to bring his monk in to hit them then feign before they would path back to their spawns. We definitely weren't snaring them though.

Hollish Tnoops has been stuck in the newbie hunting area of W Freeport for awhile too, bouncing against a wall.

I believe Tnoops is supposed to do that, Will try snare and charm a bit more though, thanks!

Tnoops is working as intended.... strange as that may seem.

generally the mob only stays in place until snare wears off (works for root too afaik). once i snared a scareling in fear, gated out, went back 2-3 hours later, and that same scareling was still snared :o so maybe this?
