VERY excited to play this...anyone else preorder? Would be nice to get a list of people playing.

Anyways...if you havnt read about it...its Terraria on roids...and if you havn't played Terraria, punch yourself in the dick, then go download it and lose a month of your life.

Once it launches ill make a list of user names of people playing...till then...rant/flame/discuss.

As someone who didn't see the hype over Minecraft I'm not sold on this either... had a look at some gameplay, but meh.

I always figure that nobody will give a flying one about what other worlds are doing...if I wanted to build a universe to enjoy myself in I'd rather develop an EQ emu server, build some custom content (always been quite creative that way) and learn about the programming that comes with it :p

Not normally my style of game, resisted Terraria forever then played it...lost way more than a month and have now pre-ordered starbound.

Its worth your time to try it, buy it..pirate it..whatever. I tried to like minecraft..just couldnt get into it. Terraria is better in every way, classic sandbox and a lot of fun. ymmv

Cortex Command looks good too. It's like a real time strategy / action / terraria game:
