I can't camp to the character select screen.
 

I played this eqemulator on xp for years and never had this problem but since i got a new comp with windows 8 it's been happening. What happens is i simply press camp, wait the 30 seconds, the load bar goes then the screen goes black and the client crashes. i tried adjusting the video modes in-game and on the options on the login screen and also switched between windowed mode and fullscreen and it still crashes. though one time i think i had it fixed by doing that but i changed the desktop resolution on my comp and this crashing started again so i changed the resolution back but now i can't fix it by doing what i did before that fixed it. does anyone have any suggestions on how i can fix this? the resolution i use on my desktop and in the game currently is 1024 x 768
