Thank you community

Hi everyone recently started back up on p99 and I just wanted to say thank you to the community for being so generous to the new players. Haven't played in about 7 years and wasn't looking forward to starting over with nothing and grinding all the time to somehow afford my spells and some equipment.

To my surprise almost everyone I've met has been exceptionally kind. From donations of plat and gear to help with buffs , crs, ports, and binds, the community has been amazingly generous. Look forward to paying it forward with ports, buffs etc once my lowbie druid gets a little higher.

Thanks again to everyone for making this the most welcoming community I've ever seen online you guys rock!

I remember someone giving my troll SK a 10/25 piercer (forget the name) when he was about L12-13. I'd posted on the forums looking to buy some large bronze gear as I was actually butt naked for the first 10 levels and had just enough to pay that (2pp/AC, good times).

Getting the piercer I was so overjoyed, some erudite wizard, I forget her name...but she made killing things so much easier. The karmic wheel keeps turning, I like to help out where I can and I think the sentiment is shared among a bunch of us :)

Welcome aboard :)

Welcome to the server! Glad you are enjoying it. Most people here at some point were helped by another...and most of us enjoy paying it forward. If you have any questions feel free to hit me up if im in game.

I love collecting "junk" weapons from high level dungeons and handing them out to newbies. The "problem" is that 99% of the time I give them away it's only in EC. I rarely get a chance to visit the out of the way newbies zones where they would probably go to more use. It's hard to be in the right place at the right time for every new player. If I had my way every ranger rolled on this server would start with a Dragon Horn Yak in their inventory. As someone who used a fine steel spear until I was well into my 30's, I know a bad high level weapon can be game changing to a new player.

He probably won't see this, but thanks to the bard (who I'm pretty sure was named Rathcor) who, almost a year ago /ooc'd that Di'Zok's spear was rotting in LOIO and let me loot it.

Great way to improve the community by helping out lower level players.

Starting to get to the point where i have extra stuff and was able to get a bag of starter stuff for a new druid and an armor set for a guildie. 2 more levels to sow!

Nice, Welcome aboard. Don't listen to the people who complain on here. It is a lot better than they make it out to be in the game as you have already seen. :D

Good things happening to good people - thanks again for helping me with the skeletons in Lake Rathe and getting a guildie to res me.

Nice folks everywhere here!
