All things considered, I suppose many tattoos and ear plugs are worse.

I'd rather have pointy ears than large retarded fucking loops at the bottom of my ears.

I know someone who had those loops when I first met him, its amazing how his ears have healed since he took them out - there was a horrible mid point where they just looked saggy... but you'd struggle to see anything other than maybe that his ears are pierced now.

I've seen some horrible "home tattoos" done by "tattooists" with no studio that do it on the side. I watched some guy get an eagle done while I was visiting some pals in New Mexico and they both looked at me afterwards and said "what do you think?"

"oh...yeah, that's great guys!"

...fucking horrible. I don't doubt the guy who had it done instantly regretted it.
