The Nillpuss quest
 

Has anyone done this and if so how long does it take on average to gather the jumjum's necessary for turn in?

I've been in Rivervale on and off and check track each time for this guy but just don't see him.

He drops 0-2 per kill, and you need 4 total. He's a 2 hour spawn. So anywhere from 2-5 kills on average to gather all 4 jumjum. Make sure you put them in a lower backpack than your normal food to avoid eating them, or simply hold on your cursor and immediately bank them (much safer). Turn them in unstacked, so fill all 4 trade slots. I've done aprx. 50 turnins, I'm not sure what item you're after but I've gotten 8 wands of frost bolts, 1 poison neck, 5 locate corpse wands, 12 arrows, 3 various earrings and I forget what else other useless crap.

I take it the buyable and spawnable jumjum don't work for the quest?

Different items in the database, has a separate identify lore.

casters can identify items for you (put item on cursor, get them to cast it) also locate corpse wands are vendor sold

i got the identify wand on my one hand in. was hoping for the mr earring.
