Just got a Raspberry Pi (Model B). Now what?
While it would be hilarious to get P99 running on it, I'm looking for anything really handy I could use it for. I'm less interested in spending a ton of money for an LCD screen and building materials (although the arcade cabinets are neat), and more interested in an intrinsic function the OS can serve. So far, all I can come up with is something akin to a private (very small) webserver. Snore.
Ideas? |
Play Minecraft on it? Ive read that it can run minecraft, so it could *maybe* handle p99, you should try it.

RPi can't/doesn't handle x86, so it can't run WINE, so it won't run EQ. Maybe there's a way around this, but it's not what I'm interested in at the moment.

Im a bit tempted to order one of these myself now after reading a bit about them. Seems like a really cool idea; im assuming the end goal is to ship these to poverty stricken areas. How much did it cost total with the power supply?

I spent $55 to get the RPi, a housing for it, the power cord and an SD card.
