They broke channeling
 

First toon was Ogre Shaman. If I was double shrunk, with my back into a corner: my spells never got interrupted. (Unless mob bashed and it interrupted)

They ninja patched channeling shortly after Velious release on Green - and WOW it sucks now. Double shrunk Ogre Shaman, back in corner -- regular hits interrupt me pretty frequently. With 200 channeling.

Levelling a new necro, and MY GOD it's frustrating being interrupted so frequently, even with around 150 channeling. I get it on bashes, and stuns from regular hits - but why are my spells getting interrupted when I'm not being bashed, stunned, or pushed?

Was this intentional to make the game more classic like? Was it because race/class combo like Ogre Shaman were too OP? Anyone else notice this?

Not really sure what you're referring to, channeling feels the same on P99 as it did years ago

Casters are OP in classic, this is how they balanced it. U mad?

Shortly after Velious release on green there were changes to channeling. Fizzle chance went up, and spells got interrupted more often.

Sorry didn't mean not sure what you were referring to with the Velious change. I meant I hadn't really experienced a hugely significant difference in channeling while being whacked. From what I've experienced it's just a bit more frequent on the interrupt. I did notice fizzles increasing a decent amount with lower skills though.

Dex increases your chance to continue casting.

Sounds like OP doesn't have a clue about what they are doing or talking about.

And yeah go max dex if u wanna channel through 15 goblins hitting u for 1 - 40 dogs. With double attacks and bashes too.

Chanelling should only go up while casting and being hit by xp mobs.

Most people say channeling is OP here in my experience. Careful what you wish for! To me it seems pretty much how I remember it tbh.

Your gate collapsing when you cast gate does seem way more frequent than I remember though. I think it happened to me maybe four times total from 99-2001, and here it's about 1 per day.
