Lan Party
Hello,
I am planning on having a lan party at my house with four other friends. We plan on playing EQ the whole weekend. How do I contact an admin to make sure they don't think I'm multi-boxing? Thanks ahead of time! |
you would file for an IP block exemption here
https://www.project1999.com/forums/f...splay.php?f=25 our volunteer staff has limited resources, and is rarely afforded the luxury of responding to such requests quickly. |
People still do these? Cool.
Yea I think you should have planned that months ago, but hope ya get lucky! |
Thank you!

Just make sure that all your guests (or at least, all but one) sign up for a VPN, and you'll be fine even without the exemption. $5 for a month of VPN seems like a small price to pay to get the joy of an old-school EQ LAN party!
Man, just the thought of it makes me nostalgic ... |
You don’t have time. Just have everyone use a hotspot.

even halfway tech savvy people know that you can vpn and hotspot your way onto the server with multiple boxes, OP probably knows that too. and as much as it would be cool, statistically speaking, nobody who knows 4 other P99 EQ players in their local area close enough to have a LAN party, even if they did, there would be a knowledge pool among those 5 people, at least one of them understands that wifi hotspots and VPNs easily circumvent IP locks. while possible that this is all true, it is highly unlikely. Also, OP has a join date of Jan 2023. That you, recondojoe? |
You have friends? Whoah

Whats it like?
