There was a book where the catholic church was trying to use prehistoric incan nanotechnology to resurrect Jesus. It was one of those mainstream big name scifi writers. Was pretty fun book. Butt looking back on it it was kinda full of holes. It was written before all this ancient alien stuff really was becoming a thing by at least ~5years


It would be hilarious tho and I'm not entirely sure that several churches haven't been secretly experimenting on humans since the Nazi and commies had been doing it since before WW2.im going to say big corps could probably play around with genes since late 1955+ and individual wackos could since the 80s.
