Why are the forums so slow to load?
 
I wonder this and want to know the science behind it.

Is this simulating 1999 dial up?

It always makes me wonder if my internet signal is going to one of your houses, then you read all my personal data, then it goes to the forums.

It used to be forum timestamps were wildly inaccurate, whatever they changed to fix that might be related to the slowness now.
