Crashing Sporadically Since Patch

Since Friday evenings server reset I have been crashing sporadically on zoning and login. There does not see to be a rhyme or reason.

Same. I was in a group in the Hole for hours, with no issue. Then I sat down, and suddenly I couldn't type (but the game kept going). Then, a few seconds later, the whole game crashed.

I then re-logged in and crashed two more times literally seconds after getting back in! I was about to restart my computer, but then on my third time I finally made it in without crashing ... and of course at that point my group had broken up, and I had to gate out :(

I did get the optional patch, so I assume it's responsible.

I did not optional patch at first. Just installed it now though. Will see if it makes a difference.

Experiencing the same problems here zoning/logging in or out.

I've tried a clean install then re-patching to v57.
I've tried clearing my log files.
I've tried dgvoodoo.

Definitely looking for additional suggestions.

Question for those of us in this thread - you guys use WinEQ too?

loramin 12-29-2022 02:46 PM

Nope, but after the series of issues I described, I haven't had any crashes since (/em knocks on wood).

I feel I have been having a few more zoning crashes BUT I’m playing from a different network/country to usual.

The client freezing while running through FV isn't cool. This never used to happen.
