how do i enlarge my ui boxes?
 
just came back after 4 years and reinstalled on win-bootcamp on an imac 4k

after some hours I figured out, that we are not allowed to use custom uis on green. iam ok with that but how can i enlarge the ui windows on my resolution? my eyes are hurting!

The textures made for this game are extremely small.

If were were to scale them up to a size that would make them appear about normal on a 4k screen it would look like a lot this:

That may look better for some of you, but it would take weeks or months of editing XML and to scale all the windows to match that new upsacaled content. And I personally dont think its worth it for the blurry textures, hehe so I dont have time :)

There are some cool AI and machine learning applications out there now to upscale textures, and with that it is possible to make a 4k UI, but the even more exciting news is there is a 4k eq environment for us to all play in on the horizon! But for now we're stuck with the smaller UI until someone wants to upscale all the icons, and then do a 4k xml rewrite of the old one to work with it! (its not hard just time consuming!)

EDIT: BTW if the P99 community would like to start a 4k UI project, I would be happy to start that ball rolling by writing a How To ITT that we could use to potentially build it as a group? Would there be people interested in that? Baller, could maybe make a Wiki Page for it, since Loramin is on IRL vacay haha

I just reduced my resolution and its kinda playable now. not the best graphics but i guess its for the sake of classic that i have to heh
