Future warm-body: what classes do raid guilds need?

Rog for DPS? Cleric for heals?
If I go bard can I just chill in camp and play mana-song or will I have to make plays?
I have 6 children and 2 dogs so keeping it simple.

Make a Rogue. Get an epic. Thrive

If you can't pay too much attention to the raids themselves you would probably want to go Druid or Wizard so you can focus on porting and other utilities that don't really need you to focus hard, and you can step away from.

Even on a Rogue you may be asked to drag corpses and whatnot, which can be a tough task depending on the area.

Same with Cleric, you will need to be able to be a part of the chain when necessary, and you can't really take a break from it while it's rolling hehe.

What makes corpse dragging difficult?
Wizard might be fun.
Thanks.

Wizard can be pretty active with kiting, TLing, AoEing, etc. Depends on the raid. Very easy to get RA though!

Rogue is just assisting the MA and maybe bumping rarely.

I second the Rogue recommendation. Hella chill.

Mobs that see through sneak+hide, traps. But 99% of the time rogue is super chill on raids, epic is extremely easy to get and with it you really add something to the raid.
Wizard is a solid choice as well.

Rogue is nice and cathartic you just swing away and look for positioning. Big D dps is ALWAYS fun. You’ll get groups right away when you go lfg for raid and if you need to slip away for a minute due to family hide/sneak to a safe afk spot (out of LoS or range of raid would be good so you don’t catch an aoe). You will be missed when you afk since group might not get xp any longer.

Wizard is also fun but you’ll almost always feel less in demand. Still something to be said about jet setting mobility and melting Kunark dragons. No one will notice when you AFK. Definitely go dark elf if wizard and follow sol ro. The faction is neutral damn near everywhere (maybe felwithe maight be a little salty if you stroll in and order an ale). Hide and ultra vision or super quality of life boosts. When you’re running around looking for mobs to tag for your quad there’s nothing worse than not being able to see and getting jumped by a hostile. Hide is just hide. Sit down to med, hide pretty much anywhere… relax.

Just came by to recommend the rogue. You'll need to be grouped to level up realistically but you know when you're hides are successful and that quick afk you might need is at the touch of a button most of the time. Even if your group gets trained you should be safe mostly if you were already hidden.

Thanks for input all.
I have rolled a rogue.
Pretty gimpy gear and struggling to kill blues!
If anyone wants to loan me some rags I will gladly return them when I hit 60 in about 2 years ><

Sometimes rogues are required to move / help set up pets. Also sometimes to fte mobs and bump them with nimble or counter attack.
