Wait for Kunark or Roll Troll
 

So, I want to play a Shaman. Should I wait for Kunark to hit or just roll Troll? I want the Regen factor to assist with Canni.

Troll has a few advantages over Iksar and one disadvantage:

Regen = same on both races, so that's a wash

Troll = better innate states, has racial slam/bash, can use JBB
Iksar = cannot use JBB, no racial slam/bash, but can fit into dungeons without shrink

Flip a coin :D

Some reasons for and against, off the top of my head. I'm not a shaman player, btw.

Roll Troll:
• Probably level to 50 before Kunark opens
• More Stamina and Strength

Iksar master race:
• Start with a big wave of other level 1 Iksar on Kunark opening day (is this a pro or a con for you?)
• AC bonus fwiw
• More Wisdom
• Can't wear certain pieces of gear, including Jaundiced Bone Bracer which some people swear by but others say is meh

JBB really does come in so handy in many situations. Also, Iksar can never get a guise and everyone knows DE shamans are fashionquest as hell especially if you roll female!

if you want to play a shaman, you want to play. not wait. just go for it as a troll imho. can always make a second shaman if you love shaman and love iksar!
