Starting today! Which class to play?
 

Decided to take the plunge, but I have no idea which class to play for PvP.

I've played every class before for PvE but never for PvP. My favorite pve class is cleric and enchanter.

Which classes are most in demand?

how bout try starting with whichever class you're least terrible at

cleric, always cleric, good for pvp too

i highly suggest shaman, best of both worlds, PVP viable, and PVE for the farm for your melee char.

High elf pally or you are doing it wrong the first time around.

Hmm yea shaman could be a good option. Guess it's between shaman and cleric...

Only issue with Shaman is starting allllll the way in Halas (not sure if I could bare to be a troll or Ogre...)

Glad to have a new player. I'd suggest doing some forum searches as your question is pretty much asked verbatim every few days here.

Actually. I agree with Agatha here.

Shaman is really good in pvp until you try and dot someone who is good and carries pots and has high resists. More fun to play than cleric too imo.

Don't be a barb and gimp yourself. You will be really sad you don't have stun immunity and hp or regen and hp.

Ogre is fucking huge on this server when you are trying to gate/cast and someone is trying to kick stun/mighty strike you.

You can make an argument for all shaman races....except barb. Maybe if the hammer was still beast mode you could, especially if the long term intent is as a buffbot/farming character and you just wanted to hit 60 asap.
