Harmony in Veeshan's Peak?
 
Would like additional input from the community regarding the use of the Druid/Ranger spell Harmony in Veeshan's Peak. I've been told via anecdotes that this spell should not work in VP eventhough VP is flagged as outdoors (similar to levitate/dmf/atone being disabled in Sky and shrink outdoors/KC).

Found this quote on the Druids Grove regarding the usage of Harmony and its prior disabling in VP. The post is from June 2003, but references back to the original VP. The second post is in reference to the first post "Thanks for not nerfing our Harmony" in relation to VP.

As much as I don't want it to be true, it's true at least by the PoP era(eqmac). Sorry dudes

Edit - I just ran my druid in on the mac server to test it out. I'd never really gone in there anyways otherwise I'd have known. Below is the video:

They unnerfed harmony. Harmony didn't used to work there but Pacify did even though it was outdoors. Was quite annoying.

we didint have a single keyed druid for vp , but yes 2 rangers in kunark vp , and we always used them as pullers for most dragons.


i recall the pacify lull stoped working in the revamped version , wich was launched at first in stormhammer server.

but we always though it was due to the massive nerf ,encs ,clerics got in the lull line in pop.

aswell monk lull did not worked, and yes for some people who dont know, monks got a lull later in game .:p

I don't remember using harmony since FD + CoS pulling made for clean pulls, so I'm not taking a stance in this thread. However, I'm going to clarify the broken english here - VP did undergo changes in early PoP - and no I'm not referring to the change of the zone to elemental Plane Level.

I don't know if EQMac would be absolute proof for either side, but the state on EQMac might not mirror the Kunark-Luclin live state.

Correct. Harmony nerf would be zone-related, not npc-related.

Considering it wasn't revamped until 2004, the state of VP on EQmac is the oldest in existence.

Harmony may no longer be used in VP, pending update.
