FTE Shout Behavior
 

Interesting behavior I noticed today:

[Mon Aug 12 13:24:47 2013] Talendor has been slain by Bugaman!
[Mon Aug 12 13:24:47 2013] Talendor shouts 'How amusing. You foolish mortals actually think to challenge me? Very well, then, I shall enjoy searing the flesh from your bones!'
[Mon Aug 12 13:24:47 2013] Talendor engages Bugaman!

All the same time stamp, but yes, they occurred in that order.

Doesn't seem like that is working as intended to me.

Edit: Gore did not do this, she had a normal death message and no death engage message.

Overseer of Air does not have an FTE Shout message. Assuming Hand of Veeshan doesn't as well.

Is the Talendor engage message zone wide yet?

Not sure if I zoned in before Tal was tagged, and if I did, I wasn't looking for the message. But it sure was funny getting FTE after he was dead.

No zone wide FTE shout, just his standard zone-wide shout when he aggros anyone.

Must have been temporary lag or something. Tested it again and it worked fine.

These were not added. Is there a need for them?

Generally not, but there have been times during the last few Dojo/OOA/Hand kills that two guilds have been racing to kill them first, including failed pulls and wipes, so if its easy to put in, I think it is warranted. They are 7 day mobs.

UDP packets don't necessarily arrive in order.

Happened again with Sev today, made me laugh with people shouting membler shenanigans.

Just reporting for due diligence.

I've never seen it before today at a TMO raid. I guess it just looked suspicious since FE decided to jump in and try to KS our dragon as it was being pulled in.
