Probably all of the bad places you go to have set forth viruses onto your new midrange gaming rig.

Hope this helps.

All those time sensitive viruses that only do anything during primetime USA hours. Right?

Derp.

Empirically, I have verified with near certainty that the issue is either with the code of the server itself or the hardware. Not losing packets and my ping is almost always sub 100.

Hope this basic knowledge of the internet helps.

Thanks for your basic knowledge of the internet.

I have the same problem as OP.

My eqclient freeze when I zone, maybe 3 times out of 5.

I blame it on my ISP, I could try to use a VPN...

I haven't had any issues and haven't heard anyone in game mentioning it. Not running on an SSD and zoning still only takes me a few seconds. Sorry if you're having issues.

Ignoring all the trolls, I haven’t personally noticed a huge increase in zone load time I have noticed slight delays when engaging mobs, casting spells, opening merchant windows etc things like that which was definitely not an issue on blue.

You not 'losing packets' and having a good ping does not prove anything definitively, other than you seem to have a functional internet connection. How did you verify you weren't losing packets, and what did you ping and how many times? Even if you have the worlds best internet connection this does not prove or even raise to near-certainty "that the issue is either with the code of the server itself or the hardware." Then again, it doesn't disprove it either. Need more info. What is your computer doing when it is pausing between zones? Use task manager to see cpu, disk, internet. Bring up system events log and see if you see anything. Turn off all your AV stuff. Look at your router settings and make sure you don't have any weird port blocks or NAT or anything. Try playing at a completely different time than you normally do. Go to a friends house or public computer and load P99 and play from their connection and with their hardware and see if you still get the issue.

Above all, how do you reconcile the fact that thousands of people have been playing non-stop for years, and yet most people do not have the issue you report?

Hope this basic knowledge of debugging issues helps.

How is OP still convinced it's not on his end? He and like 1 other person are having problems while hundreds are not. Seems pretty cut and dried.

As op, it's fine today.

Yesterday I had 600ms ping and today 130ms....

Definetely ISP problem, I'll try with a vpn next time it happens
