Our system works just fine overall, but as with anything there is room for improvement. The RF loot changes were an example of this.

It should be called a loot council.

Nihilum uses a fair DKP system -- the only officer/leader input is in which classes can acquire X items first. The more you play, the more gear you get!

This is a lie.

I am just glad Vaporize's 8th alt has no problem getting a CoF. Then again, he did enter the server through a $500 RMT purchase that went wrong, which he made very public. So of course he'll have NP getting items in nilly.

Ok then.

You saw his list of loot, he is one of the top 3 or 4 geared clerics on the server. We don't owe him shit.

He farmed every one of those pearls knowing full well he wasn't getting a CoF.

So, as a current guildleader what would you do?

Allow the person monopolizing the pearl farming to put 10 CoFs in the bank?

I would indicate 1 or perhaps 2 spokespeople for the guild, and ask other people not to post, to prevent them stumbling over their own posts.

i would never treat anybody like this that farmed 67 pearls... I'd build a statue of them

You posted before that people can get a CoF every 10 pearls?

And you aren't denying that he got 60+ pearls?

I guess reason, consistency and common sense have left the thread :)

Can't you get a cof for like 90k that's like 45 hours of seafuries as opposed to 1000 hours of pearls or whatever.

This is a lie.

I wouldn't really call it a lie. DKP and previous items awarded are 99.99% of the decision on who gets loot. People with more DKP get an item over someone with less with very few exceptions. The difference between our system and a standard DKP system is DKP isn't spent, at least not yet.

The fact of the matter is people just don't bitch about loot much in Nihilum. So you can try to poke holes in our methods all you want, the people actually in the guild are fine with it. Even Agatha isn't complaining about the DKP system.

Why no one cares that you left...

I don't see those statements as contradictory. One was hypothetical in nature. Agatha/Push farmed more pearls than anyone, but had they stopped we'd still be doing Ragefire almost every day. Maybe that clears it up for you?
