Two years ago I was a student w/ a long-distance girlfriend. I camped AC for days, grinded XP on a few toons and got loots on loots, I could stay up/sleep in etc it was magical. I was saving money instead of going out, I was hanging w/ my buddies on skype, I was studying while I sat meditating and I can't say I regret how much I played.
Now I'm an attorney living w/ girlfriend, she is pretty busy so outside of work I generally do have some time to play. However, she does troll me pretty hard and require that I hang out with her, what a cruel world.

In every game from CS, Halo, COD, BF, EQ, WOW, UO, other MMOS I've heard the age old "you're a noob" vs. "you have no life" debate. I think I've been on both sides in different times in my life. Both have their ups and downs.

If you're really at a point in your career when you're bothered that EQ is interfering w/ your work you may want to take a step back from both (EQ/job) and evaluate what is important to you and what your specific goals are in game and in life.

Note - I'm responding to this P1999 forum post from my work.
