But I have yet to find a guild that does planar raids and is willing to take me in at this level, so making friends isn't exactly easy.

You should get to 46 before worrying about finding a guild that will take you to the planes. Once you're 46, you can tag along with anyone easily.

But I want to get to know people that are on the raiding scene in a guild before I break into the planes later, so when I do start raiding I'm not a stranger to everyone in the guild. I shouldn't have to go through 46 levels of grinding just to be eligible for a more established guild.

...then again, nothing is as it should be around here, so maybe I should just shut up and get the leveling done.

I suppose you're right. I've done quite a bit up to this point, I should focus on the leveling.

I made a post in my guild discussion thread saying that I'm going to lay low until I reach level 40, then start looking for a guild again.

Getting back on topic though; some epics are easier than others. If the epic in question requires a high-value target to be killed, such as Trak, you can expect to have to pull some strings or pay some high dollar to get at it. I think TMO charges something like $250 for the Trak drop needed for the Bard epic.

#1 - Take a deep breath and calm down.
#2 - Realize that there is no rush to get your epic today. You are only level 21.
#3 - The fun part is not pixels on a screen, but the process of EARNING an item through your own hard work and the help of friends that YOU made organically on the server through grouping.

What you have done thus far is MQ half of your epic before level 20, and begged on the forums repeatedly for strangers to do the rest of your epic for you.

In other words, you come off as extremely entitled and a pixel-obsessed. Stop stressing out and begging for hand-outs, and get out there and group. I promise you will eventually make friends and find a guild of like-minded people that you enjoy playing EQ with, but judging from your personality I certainly wouldn't enjoy guilding with a person like you.
