I am suprised the silence from dev team. They must surely see this pictures and see the madness?

Or ... is it just to bright on the pictures that their eyes get blinded.

Its pretty good for Green server.

Its terrible on Blue... the future of Green.

Please make it optional before more people go on extended breaks.

If they want Green healthy they need this fixed or itll be more terrible raiding gameplay in an era where to win you gather everyone who is level 50 and just throw bodies with RNG resists.

Should be real laggy soon as people start that up and maybe we get a fix in.

I understand that the forced dynamic lighting was introduced as a way to enforce night darkness for humans etc. as an important aspect of classic. I fully understand this and support it.

It was mentioned (by a dude with a normal forum account who was speaking as though he was a p99 dev, forget the name) that there was a fix in the works that would allow us to disable the lighting from other players, which would maintain the desired darkness properties and seems like the best of all worlds in terms of fixes.

Has there been any progress in this, perhaps?

Inside the eqclient configuration file is this particular line -

ShowDynamicLights=TRUE

If this particular line was changed to FALSE, then could that possibly alleviate some of the issues people have noted until a proper patch is released? Or is the dynamic lighting server side and this line is meaningless?

Interesting aspects within this file the further I look through it.

From everything I've tried and everything I've heard from guildies nothing you can do client side will work. It's been forced on server side.

It's garbage. Please let us turn it off.

Not exactly when its only around 25 people to begin lag issues due to the lighting.

Its causing one of the smoothest gameplay games to be choppy, laggy and feel clunky ( even more so than it classically is )
