I been in the gym 5-6 days a week for the past 2 months and I'm seeing nice results already. Also run 2 miles before goin lift.

I don't think I'm ready for that much protein yet! Haha but I eat a nice breakfast and usually lots of chicken. Protein shakes/bars depending on how hard I hit it that day.

You're a beast man, ill throw up some pics next month maybe.

Keep at it bro! ;)

remember that there's gonna be at least 100 calories per 25g serving of pure whey protein, if not 110-120 calories, skorge said he takes 200g a day so that's ingesting 800-1,000 calories just in protein alone

there's a reason in his before picture he looks about 10% body fat and in the after he looks at least 20%+, that shit makes you fat, youre adding 1k calories to your daily nutrition.

of course you will have slower muscle development if you don't take them, but well worth it compared to adding 10-20% body fat

i disagree, 20% body fat is obese, that dude is fairly lean, im not saying hes completely ripped, but I'd be amazed if he's over 15% fat in the 2nd pic

purest 02-20-2012 03:21 PM

my main point was just awareness of the massive amount of calories involved in taking 200g of protein a day

hes probably 15-18%, here's some comparisons

Sure but massive calories dictate the workload. If you are working out 5-6 days a week you are running at a much higher rate of metabolism, not to mention all that protein going to work repairing muscles. 40/40/20 is the acknowledged normal split for caloric intake on a workout diet.

40% protein to ensure muscle repair 40% carbohydrates to ensure energy and that muscles arent atrophied for energy, especially if you are doing aerobic as well as anarobic exercise, and 20% fats for healthy transport of energy and protein throughout the body.

if you are giving advice to a professional body builder whose entire life is building then u might be onto something

for most of us adding 1k calories to daily nutrition is a retarded idea
