Deleting your characters is a waste of everyone's time if you know (or hope) in the back of your mind you can get them restored if you nag hard enough.

I agree...much like your post. However, it wasn't in the back of my mind so....

It is fair to say that yes I was ready to move on. The reason is I just am not interested in starting from scratch. This isn't a threat, just the reality of my situation. Rogean restored my toons under his own free will and on his own timeline. If he hadn't I would have went on my merry way and the server would have down likewise and nobody but a few of my friends would have cared. So I guess I don't understand how this affects those of you who are being critical of this whole affair.

Despite all the angst. It's always good to see people continue playing or coming back and playing rather than quitting. Good to hear everything got straightened out.
