I don’t think you understand lol. There’s no precedent for a president being removed because no president has been bad enough to be convicted. However, it is a constititionally permitted remedy as a result of an impeachment conviction sooooo it is completely irrelevant whether there’s precedent or not. And there is precedent for it btw if you look at impeachment’s of other political/judicial figures.

Lol are you really this clueless?

The high court would definitely grant cert to the immediate challenge. Constitutional Precedent is what they live for. It's not something an insurance lawyer would understand.

Lol no they probably wouldn't. SCOTUS has explicitly said in the past that SCOTUS has no place in determining impeachment proceedings. The only role SCOTUS plays is that the Chief Justice moderates the trial in the Senate.

SCOTUS getting involved would be a breach of the separate roles of the branches of government, which is what SCOTUS has said. Know your history bud!

Barring him from office at this point would be stripping a private citizen of part of their franchise.

You're silly.

feels good to know he's gone. Trump presidency was the most chaotic period of my life. Here's to some stability and sanity :D

You all are tarded. We don't live in a country where our former presidents can be found panhandling at a freeway onramp.

The impeachment occurred before he left office so it’s a valid impeachment and the senate must hear the trial. You’d be right if they had tried to do the actual impeachment after he left office.

He’s also not being stripped of any of his private franchise. Nothing he’d be stripped of is his right as a private citizen.

After 2020 ended, I feel like we just survived a car crash. Idk if it's going to catch on fire and we're all going to burn to death, but we survived a car crash.

So we got that going for us.

Which is nice.
