Can we make an official list of people that choose "pee-can"... they need to be blackballed by the community.

Do you call it dressing or stuffing?
Both, but probably "dressing" more. When I'm feeling pedantic, I think "stuffing" if its in the bird, "dressing" if not, but I'm more likely to call it all "dressing" (sometimes "stuffing"). And here in NOLA we mostly do oyster dressing. There's also dirty rice dressing with chicken giblets/gizzards/livers, beef, and pork. And the cornbread we use for actual cornbread, not dressing. Stale/dried French bread goes in that. Do you like your cranberry sauce to come in cylinder form or actual berry form? No preference. Not a big enough fan of cranberry. Do you brine your turkey or are you an idiot? Fuck brine. It's a cheat and destroys the natural flavour. You're not really getting true turkey juices, just water, and your basically boiling your bird. Sister Schubert Rolls or Sister Schubert Rolls? Only if they're in the foil pan. I hate those frozen plastic bags. If that's all that's available, I'd rather King's Hawaiian. Pumpkin pie or Pecan pie? As far as taste, both. But I usually go for pumpkin because of nutritional value (vitamin A, potassium, etc.). Pecan is basically just sugar. Peh-cahn or Pee-can ? Puh-KAWN. |
I actually just go to golden chick and buy rolls.... mmmmm

*Dressing, not stuffing.
*Would rather die than eat cranberry sauce out of a can (especially because it's the easiest thing in the world to make yourself). *Brine & roast (thx Alton Brown) *Sister Who rolls? (If they have these at the store, will try them. Otherwise, I'm gonna be too busy with the real food to worry much about dinner rolls.) *Pumpkin pie (Is it crazy that I've never actually had peh-CAHN pie?) |
