LACP isn't always an option depending on your environment. Regardless, that is the sort of problem that pops up right away, is obvious and is easily fixable - pretty much what 99% of network errors are. I get shit escalated to me that will be weird issues that pop up in a completely stable environment that hasn't had any changes made in months and they blame the network.
Frankly, every single software or vendor specific person I've ever worked with (i.e. Oracle DBAs, EMC techs, in house software devs, etc) is a fucking retard at the end of the day. Infrastructure people (network and systems guys) have to know the entire stack and troubleshoot it - they are the smartest guys on the team. |
