The server used to be a lot easier to grief people, including a +/- 8 level range, no LNS, and a guild of neckbeards that used to make it so shitty for new guilds that they quit.

The population was single digits at one point, and I can't remember specifically but I don't think it got much over 150 during Kunark.

Now the big "griefing" guild is Azrael, which really was a non factor for most of Nihi's existence.

Azrael is a griefing guild that cannot handle being griefed :)

I think the mentality of the box is different too - even non Nihi were more into griefing, holo people, force crew, az, nihi, we all kinda shit on anyone we could with delvling/ccing/shit talking.

I wouldn't say everyone, but I think as a community without Nizzar and neckbeard crew we are ready to turn a new leaf and try to build the server up for something a little different than the same old 50 people killing each other.

but for those us with brians, you can see red pop continuing to grow while blue pop remains at the same base avg pop it has had for the past year, and actually slightly lower.

It'll be interesting to see if the population holds without a Velious release date. At some point the gear saturation will hit Nihilum levels with the new players, so people will need to want to gear alts and stuff.
