I'm glad everyone is so concerned about our loot system. We had an internal vote and the members overwhelming love the system, albeit with a couple of tweaks. And why wouldn't they? It allows people who raid and don't have anything tangible they need to get, trade their time and effort for real upgrades such as a fungi or a recently upgraded raid item without needing 70k pp to do so. Those who put in time to raid get upgrades they need, those who can't raid as much will have incentive to assist the guild and be part of it by trading their time (farming pixels) for other people's time ( raiding). It's the free market at its best working beautifully.
All this stuff about people farming seb is fraudulent. No one is allowed to monopolize camps in red dawn, and all groups are guild charter enforced need before greed. What has happened is people have upgraded items such as their RBB to 41% haste , and rather than putting that RBB on a twink or selling it for pp, they are instead putting it back into the guild for dkp. Everyone wins. The people who benefit the most are those who raid the most because they are able to get real needed upgrades from others, making the force stronger as a whole.
Sure we can all pretend people will do this stuff for free, just like tehruoh gave his cof to the guild when he got his haste or ordaga did (oh wait they didnt) or all of those free fungis passed out in nihilum (wait wut?) what does your dkp get you in nihilum? Nada. Zilch. It's officer loot. Once your geared your dkp is effectively worthless. In red dawn, you can use that dkp to still get items you want from other members. It incentivizes those who have what they need to keep raiding.
There's a couple of tweaks needed with some item caps and what not, but in general it's a great system which is why the members have overwhelming supported it. Thanks for your concern all!
