Give it a rest guys. I was about to post here, but since you all want to critique the order I decided to post faster than I could make the response, have it your way.

Honestly though, they are only so rare because until now they have only been spawned on accident. However these spawns have been coded by the devs just like all the other odd spawns (AC, Quillmane).

So while one would basically be starting off with zero information to go by, a group of people that are well organized and determined should be able come up with a theory and test it. It could take days but it's not as if there are many people in WK killing mobs for example that would ruin the spawn cycles). Just a guess though at this point. :)

(Yeah, I probably wouldn't attempt it alone either at this point. ;))

So what's going on with it? I don't understand that post Uth made. Was it broken or did the spawn mechanics just get changed? And for the record it was not "you all" who critiqued the order, it was TWO people. It makes no sense to get mad at everyone about it

Evilmog 11-23-2010 01:36 PM

I understand Uth's post entirely. And from the looks of it, yall should just be happy he said something at all.

I think anyone who manages to crack that spawn cycle will have the monopoly on MQs for a long time coming as nobody even thinks to try there.

Has anyone seen the EK AC here on P1999? Looking at a discussion for live :-

EK AC was buggy mcbug buggered, and was removed about a month or two? after he was put in, would often see his "broken" ! doug spawn there.

yeah iirc the EK AC spawn table got figured out pretty quickly by players. I don't remembet much details but i think there was 1 other mob on the spawn table so it made the AC too common.

There was also more than one zone the AC could/can spawn in. Ocean of Tears for instance.. and I believe they added one to East Karana - at least, there was a bug there when a new spawn was added in.. er.. 99 sometime iirc, where a mob would spawn over and over in EK and drop the jboot ring each time, our guild on Sol Ro got pretty much everyone their boots before word got out.
Would seem to suggest it's not there.

I withdraw my comment.

You really have no fucking clue, do you?

You can make the Devs aware of bugs all you want, but if you can't realize that Uth's response was in response to your stupid mouth trying to dictate and tell the Dev's the order in which they post in bug threads, then go re-read your post and his.

Evilmog 11-23-2010 01:48 PM

It wasn't you posted there was an issue that was the problem, it was when you all decided to say that the Dev's posting on the Decaying Skelly being KOS was more important than this was the issue.

BEHOLD: http://www.project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?t=3278

He decided to post there first. Deal with it.

.... stuff and quotes....

Well I can confirm that AC can spawn in South Karana:

http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...ghlight=karana

So it's not too much of a stretch to think that the devs would have placed him in EK as well. And I don't expect the spawn mechanism to be a simple one.

Uthgaard 11-23-2010 05:36 PM

Anyway, the answer is, AC works on test.

When I fixed the unkempt preserver, I renamed the old files to match the new npcids, what probably happened is during the patch, it only copied those files into the folder, resulting in duplicate scripts.

Should be a quick hotfix, no patch required. Rogean will know for sure when he gets off work.
