Along with the OP's gripe, another thing I find highly annoying is when you find enough members for a well balanced group. You all proceed to the dungeon. After a few awesome pulls when the exp starts to flow something happens and there is a wipe. Suddenly people start to leave after they get their corpse. Even knowing darn well that a few mins pulling will erase the exp loss of the wipe. Gating happens leaving just a couple groupers standing alone in a re-popped dungeon with nothing to do but gate out themselves. :(

True, it may not be specifically your fault, but you should make sure people are staying before inviting someone new. Or at least let them know you might be breaking up. |
Someone should at least drag corpses. That's easy...

Had this happen once, guy invited several of folks to a dungeon I hadn't been to in years (and one of the others hadn't been to ever). He overpulled killing himself and one other and immediately disbanded the group (he was leader) leaving the rest of us to regroup to try and recover the other corpse. Needless to say he's on my no group list... otherwise all groups have been fine :)

@ Daymar, is your first name Chris, from Oak Park?

That is ridiculous. If I were in a group that refused to assist in a CR of a fallen group mate, that group would need to find another enchanter. I agree with the person who said to share the names of your groupmates that ditched you, because reputation is everything in EQ.
SK is a good idea. It will be uncommon for you to find an active group anywhere in the zone (it seems to be the place where mages/necros/druids come to be alone with their xp) but you could probably start one up. I'm bound there and am lvl 24, so if you want to group up just shoot me a tell. |
