If you go that route, set up a format for the PM's that will make it easy for you. And anyone who doesn't follow the format, just don't even bother reading the PM. Delete it and move on. That'll weed up a bunch :)

Like anyone levels up in odus anyway? And I mean he could skip the "CITY" areas and do stuff like CB/Guk/etc. If I had a porter, I'd volunteer to run his ass around.

One way to be fairly sure they aren't pseudo-newbies is to check out what they are selling in EC. People selling like, a greater lightstone and stacks of bone chips while wearing a flowing black robe aren't likely to be established players. Sometimes when selling a low level item like bronze armor, if I see them decked out in something like banded amor, i'll hit cancel during the trade and just give it to them.

I have a warrior named kainarus, shaman named volcanon and a cleric named morgrul. Starting out has been pretty rough with absolutely nothing for twinking. But this is how I remembered playing the game in 99... so its fun to get even the smallest trinket. Someone who mentioned having people need to be level 25.... heh man you're skipping a ton of newbies that way. Without twinking, i've got level 4 warrior level 7 shaman and level 10 cleric. Theres no way i'd get anywhere near 25 before this guy gave his stuff out.

A guy named callabee? (I think, sorry could be wrong) just gave out lots of plat the other day in EC to newbies who showed up by assigning them numbers and randoming. It worked out pretty well (even though I got disconnected and 1018'd for 20 min and missed it!) Maybe you could do something similar by taking each item and assigning numbers to only characters that can USE the item. (and they can't be level 1 freshly made by some max level jerk) maybe level 4+ only. Someone would surely slip through the cracks but it would probably be a better chance to go to an honest newbie like myself that would love you forever for even the smallest of trinkets.
