Damn Splorf. For some reason, I never realized you had so many posts.

Most of them spent fruitlessly arguing for repops or rolling in the cybermud with trolls like Retti :(

I really should delete this forum account.

Or even an FPS game if you're into the competition against each other. MMO's were built to work together to achieve something. But there are plenty of people who like it I suppose. Different strokes for different folks!

You sound like a little bitch. I feel less masculine for having read your bullshit here. Luckily I play on red, which means my dick is huge and I have balls of steel.

Bluebies are crybaby shit players don't come to my server.

To me man, it gives a "real feel" to it. A sense of Danger from another unpredictable source. not just another mindless Mob.

just adds a little spice.

Plus what happens on Non-Pvp when you have played for a while and have all the leet gear? what do you do with said leet gear? let people look at it? that is what does it for me. PvP players IMO will get more out of Endgame than non-pvp <-- just my opinion this is not fact.

Ok, we all know EQ is not real life (well to most it isn't) but it "emulates" a real life fantasy scenario. So to make it as true to life as it can be you almost need pvp. you are not only fighting the monsters (that to be honest really don't bother anyone unless you invade their lairs) you are also fighting the common people, the thieves, liars, taken to a next level the murderers just like in any scenario where people exist.

C'mon you have to ask yourself how many times has that guy/gal said something or did something on purpose that just pissed you off... Said something offensive or trained mobs on you "kill steals" what can you do? i guess nothing but /zone complain about how he or she is an ass.

again these are just my views and why i love PVP. The irony is I never go pick a fight i just like the chance that if i want to the choice is there. True Sandbox.

as far as this
"MMO's were built to work together to achieve something."

same thing happens in PVP. except when that person does something to hinder your progress you can do something back.

it also brings people together to work together in groups to be safe, and forms stronger bonds not just the thanks for the group and never see you again. PvP has its pros and cons but so does Non-Pvp.

i guess Evil and Good after all is just a point of view.

Video games were built to see who could keep the pong ball from getting past them. Anything else is a dumb design. Obviously.

Most of the people on blue that were curious have tried red and it doesn't fit their style of gameplay. They know we're here...all this antagonizing doesn't serve any purpose at all other than to reaffirm their opinion of red.

For anyone that quit red due to resists or mechanics...we have Alecta resolving those issues ACTIVELY. Just fyi

Have a great day! :)

One reason to pvp on an mmo instead of mortal combat or an fps is you have to put time and effort into building your character. you cant just log on and be everyone's equal in one or two hours.

Another reason, not sure if this is the case with p99, but in my opinion having penalties for death is HUGE. I hate when games have no penalty for death. Wow basically has no penalty. Sure you have to spend some gold but if you aren't dumb you can have more than enough gold early on to cover your deaths(not sure if there even is a penalty for a pvp death). I personally prefer games where you can loot armor and weapons. That makes shit real. FPS you can just run shoot die and you are back to running in less than 3 seconds and can be dead in another 3 and up again in 3 etc etc.

Tried red for a while.

Ended up getting corpse camped by a twinked gnome in NK, then his 60 Pling druid friend. A good 3 deaths and I had enough.

I love red.

heazels 10-10-2013 06:54 PM

I'm assuming you meant red teams when it comes out, cause red is retarted getting destroyed by a wizard invis with ice comet is no bueno
