thank you very much everyone. I have chosen a gnome mage, and I took him to level 3, I've come across another character and I was surprised and I am very grateful to me 110 gold coins, so at least I've been able to buy magic, I am also following a guide that is this: http://wiki.project1999.org/index.ph...ng_Guide_(1-20)

Thank you very much everyone for your help and advice

I can only say that I'm jealous that you are experiencing a fairly classic version of this game for the first time. Jealous.

Thank you very much, I hope it does not complicate the learning

Another question I have, the background color of magic have any meaning?

Often it does. I know for a druid, a purple background for a spell icon means "group port" and something else. Neon yellow (kind of like bad traffic signs) is usually a self-olnly spell.

Welcome aboard.
Yellow = self target
Purple= group spells
Green = AE spells
Red = targeted spells
Can't remember PBAE spells, blue I believe.

Stick with your mage 'till level 4, your pet wil change your play style so much! Remember to buy some components to summon your pets (not sure of the low level ones, chck the wiki).

Welcome to Everquest. Yeah, stay on Blue server.

Mage and enchanter are probably the most welcomed casters. Enchanter is somewhat more complicated. There are also wizards but they aren't as welcome in groups because they tend to run out of mana too quickly for sustained grouping situations.

Clerics, druids, and shaman are the caster healers. Shaman are also good for buffing friendly characters and debuffing opponents, but that's more for later on.

You probably have already seen this is different than WoW. Since you don't have a ton of time and plat invested in one character feel free to try some other ones out. Especially once you get into your teens and 20s and get some groups where the roles of each class become more defined.
