i feel at the beginning many will enter r99, one of the main reasons i want to is because for 4 or so months itll just be classic, kunarks alright, but not many will stay, i dont mind you pvp guys, but most of you are overly annoying

Also the standard best of the bests were mostly won by blue servers as well.

In all reality, we just don't care enough to pvp on a daily basis. I had my fair share in Ultima, DAoC, and Shadowbane.

I believe the fact that most of the bad players who think they are good will go to the red server where they can play with other bads will be the case ;)

interesting you said that aka, i am a big pvp fan, for instance i played conan, though the playerbase back in 08 was horrible, i was in a guild that ive guilded with since everquest, and when ever a new mmo came out and those in the guild wanted to play that mmo, we played it as a guild, but i usally group with everyone, but it came to a point when i couldnt stand having fun because of how many people were rude, and this was on a pvp server, yea i can take the spewing shit talk from these guys, but it just makes the community not so great or so fun to be apart of, i dont get this from all those r99 guys, but most are like this

But hey - I'm entirely willing and eager to be proven wrong. It's just that in my experience across MMOs/FPS/RTS/whatever, PvP brings out far more pride than PvE....as crazy as that might sound to the vztz crowd.

PvP has more meaning to your pride than PvE because you're better than a person - not a programmed mechanic.

Cant handl;e the heat get the hell out of the kitchen, pvp seperates the men from the boys. Stay a carebear if you cant handle griefing it part of skilled red servers not blue carebear servers.

EQ wasn't designed around PvP in the first place. I have nothing against starting the red99 server, but I won't be playing there.

EQ was not designed around pvp and the classes are grossly imbalanced for it. However, if you enjoy nonstop, grade school trash talk and ganking, go for it.
