I can agree to an extent that the rest of us should probably stop trying to convince you all otherwise but only because experience is the best teacher. And if by now you're still not even remotely skeptical of your well-intentioned leader...well, good luck with that. Just know that it's going to be like déjà vu for the rest of us watching on. Maybe it's enough that it's all in writing for posterity so it can be quoted/linked after the fact, not that it will mean anything since the uninitiated haven't heeded quotes/links from previous instances, but still.

Either way, for those of us Hyjal has unrepairable faction with, at least the problem is relatively contained for now by the player-made agreement.

He manages to take over despite all sides denying him the validity and worthiness only he himself seems to believe he deserves.

Once in power, the lone wolf inevitably destroys all sides who initially opposed him and his remarkable ascension.

Sadly, nothing is left but pixels of dragons, but that's all he ever wanted anyway. It's a good day to be the wolf.

I hate Trump, but that's a pretty good comparison in some ways. Hyjal has not conquered the server yet. But I haven't given up hope.

Short of handing out the in-game equivalent of pewter and zirconia and passing them off as diamond platinum cufflinks, it's actually pretty accurate in regards to human behavior/psychology. The name has more than just a political connotation anyway, and someone even brought religion into the mix before that, god knows why, but there it is.

The day you autists don't take everything so literal and learn what a metaphor is will be the day I stop posting on p99.

It's funny because I actually did pick up that you weren't being serious even though you didn't use a ;) which is why I included the "god knows why" quip about religion. It's okay that you didn't pick up on that though. It doesn't mean you're an "autist" or anything. It just means you have poor reading skills and that some humor doesn't always translate well in written form, given its nuances.

What's even funnier is that language is where I excel and how I make a living, so metaphors get used frequently. And by the way, the inability to fully grasp metaphors, sarcasm, and abstract language is a generalized trait, as is proficiency with math.

Also, saying "you autists" is itself kind of funny given that literally everyone is on the spectrum to a degree, including you.

So if you're going to throw around a catch-all word in an attempt to somehow win an argument or try and be insulting, without knowing what the word actually means, I reserve the right to assume you are a moron and no armchair diagnosis is needed for that. I don't actually think you're a moron though, you were just probably offended and the forums is a place for egos to run amok.

If you could stay on topic though, that would be more productive. But I'm all for derailing one of Hyjal's thread and if you want to do it on this topic alone, knock yourself out...figuratively, not literally.

Taking things a bit personal, sorry if that quip offended you.

I used the term "autist" in the context of the nerds that post here on the forums who lack the ability to detect sarcasm and who struggle with understanding what a metaphor is.

Nice of you to take things literally. Again.
