Not quite related as there seems to be quite a shortage of info, but predictably WoW's creators were former EQ players, and Tryndamere from League of Legends is named after the creator's EQ character.

The lead singer from an 80s one hit wonder band played on E'ci/Tunare and was in my guild

Jim Lee used to play. I remember reading an article how he used to play EQ and draw during downtime. Don't know if he qualifies as a celebrity, but he's a pretty amazing comic guy.

X-Men 1 and all its variant covers forming a mural was awesome. I have them framed on my wall and was able to come by a Jim Lee signed copy on the Collossus/Rogue/Psylocke/Gambit cover.

I was in a Lineage II clan with a guy named Maynard who also liked Tool. And after watching some interviews... That guy sounded an awful lot like Maynard. Was a cool dude.

I've hung out with Fansy twice IRL and he's as cool of a guy as you would think.

The first comic I ever bought:

Definitely qualifies as a celebrity to me.

so no.

Depends how you define "successful"

I have personally known more than 2 dozen lawyers/drs/engineers/PHDs who played/play eq including p99. If your definition of "successful" is limited to celebrity status - I only know of RW.

Curt Schilling is based as fuck, he endorsed Donald Trump, played the market in EQ2, and is generally an upstanding guy just because he doesn't pretend to be nice like most EQ players do. His company went bankrupt because he brought in an all-star team for his studio, and lost most of his personal funds in the process in addition to bankrupting Rhode Island. But hey, you can't blame a man for having crazy dreams that fail.

I told my mom that I was grouping with Curt Schilling on EQ2 before. She was amazed that anyone else even bothered with games like that.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

i have it on xbox 360 its a really good game stories a little shallow but the fighting is hack and slash with combos some are very hard to pull off but fun to try.
